CornerStone does not retain your original Artifact Integrity source or candidate files. It preserves the governed cryptographic evidence and verification record needed to establish and later verify artifact identity.
Trial Balance Verification retains its encrypted analytical/verification record, not the original uploaded artifact.
A renamed exact copy can still be exactly the same artifact. The name can change while every byte stays the same.
A file with the same name can contain changed bytes. CornerStone evaluates exact artifact identity, beyond a familiar filename or appearance.

Analyze a trial balance, identify material or unusual account-level variances, and create an auditable Verification Record.
Analyze what changed financially. Preserve what was verified. Where appropriate, use Artifact Integrity to later establish whether the associated exact source file changed.
Financial analysis and exact-byte identity answer different questions. Neither substitutes for professional judgment.
Registration does not establish that content was originally truthful. A file change or verification rejection does not prove fraud, identify an external person who changed the file, or explain their motive.
CornerStone does not promise fraud-proof records, impossibility of tampering, universal legal admissibility, or universal regulatory compliance. It does not claim independent external certification, SOC 2, government certification, or legal certification.

Files must pass the product’s supported-format and file-safety checks. A filename extension alone does not establish support.
CornerStone Audit’s production signing environment was commissioned through a controlled cryptographic trust ceremony with documented key custody and recovery controls.
That means signing authority, custody, and recovery follow documented controls. It does not certify the truth of a document or represent external certification of the product.
CPA and audit teams are an important first market and the origin of CornerStone’s review discipline. The exact-file question also matters wherever people retain and exchange important digital records.
